¹⁰ You will surely give him and your heart will not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing Jehovah your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you put your hand to.

¹⁹ And all winged creeping things are unclean to you*. They will not be eaten.

²⁹ And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you and the traveler and the fatherless and the widow, who are within your gates, will come and will eat and be satisfied, that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

⁴ However there will be no poor with you (for Jehovah will surely bless you in the land which Jehovah your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it),

¹⁹ When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you will not go again to fetch it. It will be for the traveler, for the fatherless and for the widow, that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

¹ He who considers a poor man is fortunate. Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil. ² Jehovah will preserve him and keep him alive and he will be fortunate upon the earth. And you do not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

²⁴ There is he who scatters and increases yet more and there is he who withholds more than is proper, but only to want.
²⁵ The generous soul will be made prosperous and he who waters will also be watered himself.

⁹ He who has a bountiful eye will be blessed, because he gives of his bread to the poor.

⁸ But a noble man devises noble things and in noble things he will continue.

¹⁰ and if you draw out your soul to a hungry man and satisfy an afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness and your obscurity be as the noonday.

⁴⁰ And when the King answers, he will say to them, Assuredly I am saying to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of these, my brethren, even the least, you did it to me.

³⁵ I showed to you an example in all things, that so laboring, it is essential to help the weak and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more fortunate to give than to receive.

⁸ if he who is encouraging, in the encouragement; he who is giving, in liberality; he who is governing, do in diligence; he who is showing-mercy to others, do with joyfulness.

⁵ Therefore I deemed it necessary to encourage the brethren, in order that they should go beforehand to you, and should prearrange the bounty you have proclaimed beforehand. This is to be ready, as a bounty and not as something from greed. ⁶ But I say this, He who is sowing sparingly will also be reaping sparingly, and he who is sowing upon his bounties will also be reaping upon his bounties. ⁷ Let each man give just-as he proposes in his heart; not out of sorrow or out of necessity; for God loves a joyful giver. ⁸ Now God is able to make abound all grace toward you; in order that having all self-sufficiency in everything, you should always abound to every good work; ⁹ as it has been written, ‘He has scattered them, he has given to the poor; his righteousness remains forever.’ ¹⁰ Now he who is supplying seed to the sower and bread for food, may supply and may multiply your seed and may cause the growth of the fruits of your righteousness. ¹¹ You are enriched in everything to all liberality, which is working through us thanksgiving to God.

¹⁸ But I have all things, and I am abounding. I have been filled, having accepted from Epaphroditus the things which came from you, an aroma of a sweet-fragrance, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. ¹⁹ Now my God will be filling every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

¹⁸ also command them to work what is good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal in giving, generous, ¹⁹ storing up for themselves a good foundation toward the future, in order that they may grab the everlasting life.

¹⁶ But do not forget the practice of good and fellowship; for God is well pleased with such sacrifices.

¹¹ If anyone is speaking, speak as the oracles of God; if anyone is serving, serve as from the strength which God is supplying; in order that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ to whom is the glory and the dominion forevermore. Amen.
