⁷ And the word of God was growing, and the number of the disciples were extremely multiplying in Jerusalem, and a large crowd of the priests were obedient to the faith.

³⁴ But the priests were too few, so that they could not skin all the burnt offerings. Therefore their brothers the Levites helped them till the work was ended and until the priests had made themselves holy. For the Levites were more up-in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.

²⁴ For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly for offerings a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep. And the rulers gave to the assembly a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep. And a great number of priests made themselves holy.

⁹ Let your priest be clothed with righteousness and let your holy ones shout for joy.

¹⁶ I will also clothe her priests with salvation and her holy ones will shout aloud for joy.

³⁰ But many will be last who are first, and first who are last.

³⁴ and Simeon gave-thanks for them, and said to Mary his mother, Behold, this child is destined for the fall and the resurrection of many in Israel, and for a sign being spoken against.

²⁰ So the word of the Lord was growing and prevailing in dominion.

⁸ giving vengeance in a fire of flame to those who do not know God and to those who are not obeying the good-news of our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁹ in which I am suffering evil treatment, even as far as bonds, like a criminal, but the word of God has not been bound.

⁹ and having been completed, he became the cause of everlasting salvation to all those who are obeying him;

⁸ In faith, Abraham obeyed, being called to go out to the place which he was about to receive for an inheritance, and he went out, not knowing where he was going.
