² And Ahaziah fell down through the lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria and was sick. And he sent messengers and said to them, Go, inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I will recover of this sickness.

²⁸ Through the window she looked forth and cried–the mother of Sisera through the lattice–Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots delay?

²⁴ Will you not possess what Chemosh your god gives you to possess? So whomever Jehovah our God has dispossessed from before us, them will we possess.

¹⁰ So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it happened, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to kill us and our people.

³³ because that they have forsaken me and have worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh the god of Moab and Milcom the god of the sons of Ammon. And they have not walked in my ways, to do what is right in my eyes and to keep my statutes and my ordinances as David his father did.

³ And take with you ten loaves and cakes and an earthenware of honey and go to him. He will tell you what will become of the child.

³⁴ And a certain man drew his bow at a venture and killed* the King of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, Turn your hand and carry me out of the army, for I am severely wounded.

³ But the messenger of Jehovah said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and say to them, Is it because there is no God in Israel that you* go to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?

⁶ And they said to him, There came up a man to meet us and said to us, Go, turn again to the king that sent you* and say to him, Jehovah says thus, Is it because there is no God in Israel that you send to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but will surely die.

¹⁶ And he said to him, Jehovah says thus, Inasmuch as you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you will not come down from the bed where you have gone up, but will surely die.

⁷ And Elisha came to Damascus and Ben-hadad the king of Syria was sick. And it was told him, saying, The man of God has come here. ⁸ And the king said to Hazael, Take a present in your hand and go, meet the man of God and inquire of Jehovah by him, saying, Shall I recover of this sickness?
⁹ So Hazael went to meet him and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden and came and stood before him and said, Your son Ben-hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, Shall I recover of this sickness? ¹⁰ And Elisha said to him, Go, say to him, You will surely recover. However Jehovah has shown me that he will surely die.

¹⁴ behold, Jehovah will kill* your people with a great plague and your sons and your wives and all your substance.
¹⁵ And you will have great sickness by disease of your guts until your guts fall out by reason of the sickness, day by day.

³ Is it not calamity to the unrighteous and disaster to the workers of wickedness?

⁹ My beloved is like a roe or a young male-deer. Behold, he stands behind our wall. He looks in at the windows. He glances through the lattice.

¹² Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed, Gozan and Haran and Rezeph and the sons of Eden who were in Telassar?

¹⁹ and have cast their gods into the fire. For they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. Therefore they have destroyed them.

²⁵ It is enough for the disciple that he should become like his teacher and the bondservant like his lord. If they have called the householder Beelzebub, how much more the kinfolk!

²⁴ But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This one is not casting out demons, except in Beelzebub the ruler of the demons.
²⁵ But Jesus knowing their contemplations said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is made desolate, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. ²⁶ And if the Adversary casts out the Adversary, he is divided against himself. Therefore how will his kingdom stand? ²⁷ And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, in whom do your sons cast them out? They will be your judges because of this.

²² And the scribes that came down from Jerusalem were saying, He has Beelzebub, and, He is casting out the demons by the ruler of the demons.

¹⁵ But some out of them said, He is casting out demons by Beelzebub the ruler of the demons.

⁹ But a certain young-man, Eutychus by name, while sitting in the window, being carried away by deep sleep, while Paul is reasoning on even more, fell downward, having finally been carried away by his sleep, from the third story and was raised up being dead.
