⁵ And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender and the house that is to be built for Jehovah must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.

⁷ But it happened that, when Sanballat and Tobiah and the Arabians and the Ammonites and the Ashdodites, heard that the repairing of the walls of Jerusalem went forward, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very angry,

³ Who is left among you* that saw this house in its former glory? And how do you* see it now? Is it not in your* eyes as nothing?

¹ And while traveling from the temple, one of his disciples says to him, Teacher, behold, what sort of stones and what sort of buildings are here.
