⁸ David also arose afterward and went out of the cave and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David bowed with his face to the earth and then bowed-down.

³ And Abram fell on his face. And God talked with him, saying,

¹² Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Jehovah your God gives you.

⁴¹ And as soon as the lad had gone, David arose out of a place toward the South and fell on his face to the ground and bowed himself three times. And they kissed each other and wept one with another until David surpassed him.

²³ And when Abigail saw David, she hastened and alighted from her donkey and fell before David on her face and bowed herself to the ground. ²⁴ And she fell at his feet and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me be the iniquity and I beseech you, let your handmaid speak in your ears and hear the words of your handmaid.

¹⁷ And Saul knew David's voice and said, Is this your voice, my son David? And David said, It is my voice, my lord, O king.

⁷ Therefore give to all, their dues: tribute to whom tribute; tax to whom tax; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.
