45 And the people said to Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who has worked this great salvation in Israel? Far from it. As Jehovah lives, there will not one hair of his head fall to the ground, for he has worked with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he did not die.

1 And it happened, when he had made an end of speaking to Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. 2 And Saul took him that day and would no more let him go home to his father's house.
