¹ And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the place of his father, for Hiram was ever a devotee of David.

¹¹ And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David and cedar trees and carpenters and masons and they built David a house.

¹⁰ then Toi sent Joram his son to king David to salute him and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him, for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver and vessels of gold and vessels of brass.

¹ And it happened after this, that the king of the sons of Ammon died and Hanun his son reigned instead of him. ² And David said, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me. So David sent by his servants to comfort him concerning his father. And David's servants came into the land of the sons of Ammon.

¹⁰ So Hiram gave Solomon timber of cedar and timber of fir according to all his desire.

¹³ And king Solomon raised forced-labor out of all Israel and forced-labor were thirty thousand men.

¹² And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him. And they did not please him. ¹³ And he said, What cities are these which you have given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul to this day. ¹⁴ And Hiram sent to the king one hundred and twenty talants of gold.

¹ And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David and cedar trees and masons and carpenters, to build for him a house.

³ And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As you dealt with David my father and sent him cedars to build for him a house to dwell in it, so with me.

¹² And the daughter of Tyre will adore him with a gift. The rich among the people will entreat your favor.

⁹ Jehovah says thus: For three transgressions of Tyre, yes, for four, I will not turn away the punishment of it, because they delivered up the whole people to Edom and did not remember the brotherly covenant.
