¹² And said to them, You* are the heads of the fathers of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you* and your* brothers, that you* may bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel, to the place that I have prepared for it.

¹⁴ And Moses went down from the mountain to the people and made the people holy and they washed their garments. ¹⁵ And he said to the people, Be ready for the third day. Do not come near a woman.

³⁴ These were heads of fathers of the Levites, throughout their genealogy, chief men; these dwelt at Jerusalem.

¹ And David made for him houses in the city of David. And he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it.

³ And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem to bring up the ark of Jehovah to its place, which he had prepared for it.

¹⁴ So the priests and the Levites made themselves holy to bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel.

³¹ These likewise cast lots even as their brothers the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king and Zadok and Ahimelech and the heads of the fathers of the priests and of the Levites, the fathers of the chief even as those of his younger brother.

¹¹ And it happened, when the priests came out of the holy place, (for all the priests that were present had made themselves holy and did not keep their divisions.

⁴ And he brought in the priests and the Levites and gathered them together into the broad place on the east, ⁵ and said to them, Hear me, you* Levites. Now sanctify yourselves and sanctify the house of Jehovah, the God of your* fathers and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place.

¹⁵ Then they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed and made themselves holy and brought burnt offerings into the house of Jehovah.

⁶ And kill the Passover and sanctify yourselves and prepare for your* brothers, to do according to the word of Jehovah by Moses.

¹¹ It will be for the priests who are made holy of the sons of Zadok, who have kept my charge, who did not go-astray when the sons of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

¹⁷ Make them holy in the truth; your word is truth.

¹ Therefore brethren, I am encouraging you through the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your logical divine service. ² And not to fashion yourselves to this age, but be transfigured by the renewal of your mind, that you may be proving in you what is the will of God: the good and acceptable and mature.

⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered and bought us in your blood for God out of every tribe and language and people and nation.
¹⁰ And you made them kings and priests to our God, and they will be reigning over the earth.
