⁹ Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? Selah.

⁶ Remember, O Jehovah, Your tender mercies and Your loving-kindnesses; for they are from eternity.

¹¹ Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Jehovah; let Your loving-kindness and Your truth always watch over me.

¹ To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your loving-kindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

²⁷ Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hidden from Jehovah and my judgment has passed over from my God?

¹⁴ But Zion said, Jehovah has forsaken me, and my LORD has forgotten me. ¹⁵ Can a woman forget her suckling child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you.

¹⁵ Look down from Heaven, and look down from the place of Your holiness and of Your glory; where is Your zeal and Your strength, the multitude of Your tender affections and of Your mercies toward me? Are they withheld?

²⁵ And once the Master of the house has risen up and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us, and He shall answer and say to you, I do not know you; from where are you; ²⁶ then you shall begin to say, We ate and drank in Your presence, and You have taught in our streets. ²⁷ But He shall say, I tell you, I do not know you; from where you are. Depart from Me, all workers of unrighteousness! ²⁸ There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you will see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves being thrust out.

³² For God has shut up all in unbelief, so that He might show mercy to all.

¹⁷ But whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God dwell in him?
