³ Blessed are the poor in spirit! For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.

⁴¹ I also will walk contrary to them and will bring them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they then pay for their iniquity, ⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham I will remember. And I will remember the land.

² And you shall remember all the way which Jehovah your God led you these forty years in the wilderness in order to humble you, to prove you, to know what is in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

¹⁴ if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

¹² And when he was in affliction, he sought Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

¹⁹ and his prayer, and his entreaty, and all his sin and his trespass, and the places in which he built high places and set up Asherahs and graven images, before he was humbled, behold, they are written among the Matters of the Seers.

²³ And he did not bow before Jehovah, like the humbling of his father Manasseh. For Amon himself multiplied guilt.

²⁷ Because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before your God when you heard His words against this place and against its people, and humbled yourself before Me, and tore your garments and wept before Me, I have even heard also, says Jehovah.

⁶ Therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

¹ Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled in but a little time. Blessed are all who put their trust in Him.

¹ A Psalm of David. A Contemplation. Blessed is the man whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. ² Blessed is the man to whom Jehovah does not charge iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

¹⁸ Jehovah is near to the broken-hearted; and saves those who are of a contrite spirit.

¹ To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Blessed is he who acts wisely toward the poor; Jehovah will deliver him in time of trouble.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

¹² O Jehovah of Hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You.

¹ Praise Jehovah! Blessed is the man who fears Jehovah, who delights greatly in His Commandments.

¹ ALEPH: Blessed are the upright in the way, who walk in the Law of Jehovah. ² Blessed are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek Him with all the heart.

¹ A Song of degrees. Blessed is everyone who fears Jehovah, who walks in His ways.

⁵ Blessed is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose help is in Jehovah his God,

³² And now listen to me, O sons; for blessed are those who keep my ways.

¹⁹ It is better to be of an humble spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud.

²³ A man's pride shall bring him low; but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit.

¹⁸ And so Jehovah waits to be gracious to you. And therefore He is exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For Jehovah is a God of judgment; blessed are all those who wait for Him.

¹⁵ For so says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity; whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, even with the contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

² For all those My hand has made, and all those exist, says Jehovah. But to this one I will look, to the afflicted and contrite spirit, and the one who trembles at My Word.

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim mourning to himself, saying, You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bull not broken in; turn me, and I shall be turned. For You are Jehovah my God. ¹⁹ Surely after I was turned, I repented; and after I was taught, I struck on my thigh. I was ashamed, yea, I even blushed, because I bore the disgrace of my youth. ²⁰ Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? For as often as I spoke against him, I earnestly remember him still. Therefore My heart is troubled for him; I will surely have mercy on him, says Jehovah.

²¹ And he was driven from the sons of men. And his heart was made like the animals, and his dwelling was with the wild asses. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the heavens, until he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and that He appoints over it whomever He will. ²² And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this.

⁸ He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does Jehovah require of you but to do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?

² and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

³ Blessed are the poor in spirit! For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. ⁴ Blessed are they that mourn! For they shall be comforted. ⁵ Blessed are the meek! For they shall inherit the earth. ⁶ Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness! For they shall be filled. ⁷ Blessed are the merciful! For they shall obtain mercy. ⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart! For they shall see God. ⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers! For they shall be called the sons of God. ¹⁰ Blessed are they who have been persecuted for righteousness sake! For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. ¹¹ Blessed are you when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for My sake. ¹² Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for your reward in Heaven is great. For so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

¹¹ And I say to you that many shall come from the east and the west, and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of Heaven.

⁶ And blessed is he, whoever shall not be offended in Me.

²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank You, O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the sophisticated and cunning, and revealed them to babes.

¹⁶ But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

¹ At that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who is the greater in the kingdom of Heaven? ² And Jesus called a little child to Him and set him in their midst, ³ and said, Truly I say to you, Unless you are converted and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant whom his Lord shall find him doing so when He comes.

³⁴ Then the King shall say to those on His right hand, Come, blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

¹⁴ But when Jesus saw, He was much displeased and said to them, Allow the little children to come to Me and do not hinder them. For of such is the kingdom of God.

¹⁸ "The Spirit of the Lord is on Me; because of this He has anointed Me to proclaim the Gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and new sight to the blind, to set at liberty those having been crushed,

²⁰ And lifting up His eyes to His disciples, He said, Blessed are the poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. ²¹ Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. ²² Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall cut you off, and when they shall reproach you and shall cast out your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. ²³ Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. For behold, your reward is great in Heaven. For so their fathers did according to these things to the prophets. ²⁴ But woe to you who are rich! For you have received your consolation. ²⁵ Woe to you who are full! For you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now! For you shall mourn and weep. ²⁶ Woe to you when all men shall speak well of you! For so their fathers did to the false prophets.

²⁸ But He said, No; rather, blessed are they who hear the Word of God and keep it.

¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself shall be abased, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

²⁹ Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me you have believed. Blessed are they who have not seen and have believed.

⁶ Even as David also says of the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness without works, ⁷ saying, "Blessed are those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; ⁸ blessed is the man to whom the Lord will in no way impute sin." ⁹ Is this blessedness then on the circumcision only, or on the uncircumcision also? For we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

¹⁰ and the rich one rejoice in his humiliation, because he shall pass away as the flower of the grass.

¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because having been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those who love Him?

⁹ Be afflicted, and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to heaviness. ¹⁰ Be humbled before the Lord, and He will lift you up.

⁹ And he said to me, Write, Blessed are those who have been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me, These are the true sayings of God.

¹⁴ Blessed are they who do His commandments, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and they may enter in by the gates into the city.
