¹⁷ Do not think that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to destroy but to fulfill.

⁶ Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened; burnt offering and sin offering You have not asked. ⁷ Then I said, Lo, I come, in the volume of the Book it is written of Me; ⁸ I delight to do Your will, O My God; and Your Law is within My heart.

²¹ Jehovah is well pleased for His righteousness sake; He will magnify the Law and make it honorable.

¹⁵ And answering Jesus said to him, Allow it now, for it is becoming to us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he allowed Him.

¹² Therefore all things, whatever you desire that men should do to you, do even so to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets.

¹⁷ And it is easier for the heaven and earth to pass than for one tittle of the Law to fail.

⁵ Now Moses in the Law commanded us that such should be stoned. You, then, what do you say?

¹³ And they set up false witnesses, who said, This man does not cease speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the Law.

¹³ saying, This one persuades men to worship God contrary to the Law.

²⁸ crying out, Men, Israelites, help! This is the man who teaches all everywhere against the people and the Law and this place. And even he brought Greeks into the temple and has polluted this holy place.

³¹ Do we then make the Law void through faith? Let it not be! But we establish the Law.

⁴ so that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

⁴ For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness for everyone who believes.

¹⁷ And I say this, A covenant having been ratified by God in Christ, the Law (coming into being four hundred and thirty years after) does not annul the promise, so as to abolish it. ¹⁸ For if the inheritance is of Law, it is no more of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by way of promise. ¹⁹ Why then the Law? It was added because of transgressions, until the Seed should come to those to whom it had been promised, being ordained through angels in the Mediator's hand. ²⁰ But the Mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. ²¹ Is the Law then against the promises of God? Let it not be said! For if a law had been given which could have given life, indeed righteousness would have been out of Law. ²² But the Scripture shut up all under sin, so that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. ²³ But before faith came, we were kept under Law, having been shut up to the faith about to be revealed. ²⁴ So that the Law has become a trainer of us until Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, coming into being out of a woman, having come under Law, ⁵ that He might redeem those under Law, so that we might receive the adoption of sons.

¹⁶ Therefore let no one judge you in food or in drink, or in respect of a feast, or of the new moon, or of the sabbaths. ¹⁷ For these are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ.

³ But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again of sins every year. ⁴ For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. ⁵ Therefore when He comes into the world, He says, "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but You have prepared a body for Me. ⁶ In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have had no pleasure. ⁷ Then I said, Lo, I come (in the volume of the Book it is written of Me) to do Your will, O God." ⁸ Above, when He said, "Sacrifice and offering, and burnt offerings and offering for sin You did not desire, neither did You have pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the Law), ⁹ then He said, "Lo, I come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first so that He may establish the second. ¹⁰ By this will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ¹¹ And indeed every priest stands daily ministering and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. ¹² But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right of God,
