¹⁶ Then let those in Judea flee into the mountains.

¹⁵ And when the dawn rose up, then the angels hurried Lot, saying, Rise up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the iniquity of the city. ¹⁶ And he lingered, the angel laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters (Jehovah being merciful to him), and they brought him forth and set him outside the city. ¹⁷ And it happened when they brought him outside, He said, Escape for your life! Do not look behind you, nor stay in all the plain. Escape to the mountain lest you be consumed.

²⁰ He that feared the Word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle to flee into the houses. ²¹ And he that did not regard the Word of Jehovah left his servants and his cattle in the field.

³ A prudent one foresees the evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished.

¹ O sons of Benjamin, take refuge out of the midst of Jerusalem. And blow the ram's horn in Tekoa, and set up a signal-fire over Beth-haccerem; for evil appears out of the north, and great ruin.

²¹ And let those in Judea flee to the mountains. And those in its midst, let them go out. And those in the open spaces, let them not go into her. ²² For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

⁷ By faith Noah, having been warned by God of things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
