Matthew 1:1 Cross References - MKJV

¹ The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

⁴ These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created in the day that Jehovah God made the earth and the heavens.

¹ This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.

³ And I will bless those that bless you and curse the one who curses you. And in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.

¹⁸ And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.

³ Reside in this land, and I will be with you and bless you. For to you and to your seed I will give all these lands; and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. ⁴ And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of the heavens, and will give to your seed all these lands. And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, ⁵ because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My Laws.

¹³ And behold! Jehovah stood above it, and said, I am Jehovah, the God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac! The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your seed. ¹⁴ And your seed shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south. And in you and in your Seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

¹² And when your days are fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who shall come out of your bowels. And I will make his kingdom sure. ¹³ He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. ¹⁴ I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men. ¹⁵ But My mercy shall not leave him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you. ¹⁶ And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.

³⁶ His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me.

¹¹ Jehovah has sworn to David in truth; He will not turn from it; Of the fruit of your body I will set on the throne for you.

⁶ For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ⁷ There is no end of the increase of His government and peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on, even forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.

¹ And a Shoot goes out from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

⁸ He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; for the transgression of My people He was stricken.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and shall do judgment and justice in the earth.

¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, I will cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall do judgment and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely. And this is the name with which she shall be called, JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. ¹⁷ For so says Jehovah, David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel,

²⁶ then I will cast away the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity, and have mercy on them.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the booth of David that has fallen, and close up its breaks; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;

⁸ In that day Jehovah shall defend around the people of Jerusalem. And it will be, he who is feeble among them at that day shall be like David; and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of Jehovah before them.

¹⁸ Now the birth of Jesus Christ was this way (for His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph) before they came together, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.

¹ Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men came from the east to Jerusalem, ² saying, Where is He who is born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him.

¹⁶ And Jesus, when He had been baptized, went up immediately out of the water. And lo, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon Him.

²⁷ And when Jesus passed on from there, two blind ones followed Him, crying and saying, Son of David, have mercy on us.

²² And behold, a woman of Canaan coming out of these borders cried to Him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.

⁴² saying, What do you think of Christ? Whose son is he? They say to Him, David's. ⁴³ He said to them, How then does David by the Spirit call him Lord, saying, ⁴⁴ "the LORD said to my Lord, Sit on My right until I make Your enemies Your footstool for Your feet?" ⁴⁵ If David then calls Him Lord, how is He his son?

³¹ And behold! You shall conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call His name JESUS. ³² He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God shall give Him the throne of His father David.

⁶⁹ and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David, ⁷⁰ as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from eternity;

⁴² Has the Scripture not said that Christ comes from the seed of David and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

³⁰ Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up Christ to sit upon his throne,

²² And when He had removed him, He raised up David to them to be their king; to whom He also witnessed and said, I have found David the son of Jesse to be a man after My own heart, who shall fulfill all My will. ²³ Of this man's seed God has raised to Israel, according to His promise, a Savior, Jesus;

³ about His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh,

¹³ For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.

⁵ whose are the fathers, and of whom is the Christ according to flesh, He being God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

¹⁶ And to Abraham and to his Seed the promises were spoken. It does not say, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, "And to your Seed," which is Christ.

¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify these things to you over the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright and Morning Star.
