²³ And Moses spoke to the sons of Israel that they should bring the despiser outside the camp, and stone him with stones. And the sons of Israel did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

¹⁴ Bring forth the despiser outside the camp. And let all that heard lay their hands on his head. Let all the congregation stone him. ¹⁵ And you shall speak to the sons of Israel saying, Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin. ¹⁶ And he that blasphemes the Name of Jehovah shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall surely stone him. And the stranger as well, even as he that is born in the land; when he blasphemes the Name, he shall be put to death.

³⁵ And Jehovah said to Moses, The man shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp. ³⁶ And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died, even as Jehovah commanded Moses.

² For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and if every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward, ³ how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by those who heard Him;

²⁸ He who despised Moses' Law died without mercy on the word of two or three witnesses. ²⁹ Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy of punishment, the one who has trampled the Son of God, and who has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
