¹⁸ And he who kills an animal shall make it good, animal for animal.

³⁴ the owner of the pit shall make it good and give silver to its owner. And the dead shall be his. ³⁵ And in the event the ox of a man damages the ox of a neighbor, so that it dies, then they shall sell the living ox, and they shall divide the money of it. And they shall also divide the dead ox. ³⁶ Or if it is known that the ox has been apt to gore in time past, and his owner has not kept him in, he shall surely pay ox for ox. And the dead shall be his own.
