¹⁷ And he who kills any man shall surely be put to death.

⁵ and surely the blood of your lives will I require. At the hand of every animal will I require it, and at the hand of man. At the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. ⁶ Whoever sheds man's blood, his blood shall be shed by man; for He made man in the image of God.

¹² He that strikes a man, so that he dies, shall be surely put to death. ¹³ And if a man does not lie in wait, but God delivers him into his hand, then I will appoint you a place where he shall flee. ¹⁴ But if a man comes presumptuously upon his neighbor to slay him with guile, you shall take him from My altar, so that he may die.

³⁰ Whoever kills any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses. But one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die. ³¹ And you shall take no ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death. But he shall surely be put to death.

¹¹ But if a man hates his neighbor and lies in wait for him and rises up against him and strikes his life from him, so that he dies, and flees to one of these cities, ¹² then the elders of his city shall send and bring him away from there and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood so that he may die.

²⁴ Cursed is he who strikes his neighbor secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.
