¹ And Jehovah called to Moses and spoke to him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

³ And Moses went up to God, and Jehovah called to him out of the mountain, saying, You shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the sons of Israel:

¹ And He said to Moses, Come up to Jehovah, you and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel. And bow yourselves afar off. ² And Moses alone shall come near Jehovah, but they shall not come near. Neither shall the people go up with him.

¹² And Jehovah said to Moses, Come up to Me in the mountain, and be there. And I will give you tablets of stone, and the Law, and commandments which I have written, so that you may teach them.

²² And I will meet with you there, and I will talk with you from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubs on the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give you in commandment to the sons of Israel.

⁴² This shall be a burnt offering forever throughout your generations, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before Jehovah, where I will meet you, to speak there to you.

⁷ And Moses took the tabernacle and pitched it outside the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of the congregation. And it happened, everyone who sought Jehovah went out to the tabernacle of the congregation, which was outside the camp.

³² And all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation was finished. And the sons of Israel did according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses. So they did.

³⁴ And the cloud covered the tabernacle of the congregation, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle. ³⁵ And Moses was not able to enter into the tabernacle of the congregation because the cloud stayed on it, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

⁸⁹ And when Moses had gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with Him, then he heard the voice of One speaking to him from the mercy-seat on the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubs. And He spoke to him.

¹⁷ For the Law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
