¹⁹ Kings came and fought. Then the kings of Canaan fought in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo. They took no gain of silver.

¹⁶ And Cain went out from the presence of Jehovah and lived in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

²² And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand to Jehovah, the most high God, the possessor of Heaven and earth,

²² And Joshua said, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring those five kings out of the cave to me. ²³ And they did so, and brought those five kings out of the cave to him: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon. ²⁴ And it happened, when they brought out those kings to Joshua, Joshua called for all the men of Israel. And he said to the commanders of the men of war who had gone with him, Draw near, set your feet on the necks of these kings. And they drew near and put their feet on their necks. ²⁵ And Joshua said to them, Do not fear nor be dismayed. Be strong and of good courage. For so shall Jehovah do to all your enemies against whom you fight. ²⁶ And afterward Joshua struck them and killed them, and hanged them on five trees. And they were hanging on the trees until the evening. ²⁷ And it happened at the time of the going down of the sun, Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees and threw them into the cave in which they had been hidden, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day.

¹ And it happened when Jabin, king of Hazor, had heard, he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph, ² and to the kings on the north of the mountains, and on the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the valley, and in the borders of Dor on the west, ³ and to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon, in the land of Mizpeh. ⁴ And they went out, they and all their armies with them, many people, even as the sand on the seashore in multitude, with very many horses and chariots. ⁵ And when all these kings had met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel. ⁶ And Jehovah said to Joshua, Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver them up, all killed before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire. ⁷ And Joshua came suddenly, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom. And they fell on them. ⁸ And Jehovah delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them and chased them to great Sidon, and to the salt pits, and to the valley of Mizpeh eastward. And they struck them until they left them none remaining. ⁹ And Joshua did to them as Jehovah commanded him. He hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire. ¹⁰ And Joshua at that time turned back and took Hazor, and struck its king with the sword. For Hazor formerly was the head of all those kingdoms. ¹¹ And they struck every soul in it with the edge of the sword, destroying them. And he left none breathing. And he burned Hazor with fire. ¹² And Joshua took all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them. And he struck them with the edge of the sword. He destroyed them, as Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded. ¹³ But Israel did not burn any of them, the cities that stood in their strength, except Hazor only. Joshua did burn it. ¹⁴ And all the spoil of these cities and the cattle the sons of Israel took for a prize to themselves. But they struck every man with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them. They left none breathing. ¹⁵ As Jehovah commanded Moses His servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so Joshua did. He left nothing undone of all that Jehovah commanded Moses.

²⁷ And Manasseh had not taken possession of Beth-shean and its daughter-villages, nor Taanach and its daughter-villages, nor struck the inhabitants of Dor and its daughter-villages, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and its daughter-villages, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its daughter-villages. For the Canaanites were determined to live in that land.

¹³ And Sisera gathered all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people with him, from Harosheth of the nations to the river of Kishon.

³⁰ Do they not find and divide the spoil? A womb, two wombs to a man's head, to Sisera a prize of dyed garments, a prize of embroidered dyed garments for the necks of those that take the spoil.

¹² Baana the son of Ahilud to whom was Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah below Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah to the place that is beyond Jokneam;

¹² You have sold Your people for nothing, and You did not increase by their price.

⁴ For, lo, the kings were gathered; they passed by together. ⁵ They saw, so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hurried away. ⁶ Fear took hold on them there, and pain, like a woman in labor.

¹² Kings of armies fled away; and she who stayed at home divided the plunder. ¹³ When you lie among the sheepfolds, the wings of a dove are covered with silver, and its pinions with the shimmer of gold. ¹⁴ When the Almighty scatters kings in it, it snows on Salmon.

⁸ It is better to trust in Jehovah than to trust in man. ⁹ It is better to trust in Jehovah than to trust in princes. ¹⁰ All the nations surround me, but in the name of Jehovah I will destroy them. ¹¹ They surround me; yea, they surround me, but in the name of Jehovah I will destroy them. ¹² They surround me like bees; they are put out like the fire of thorns; for in the name of Jehovah I will cut them off.

¹² And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who have received no kingdom yet, but will receive authority as kings one hour with the beast. ¹³ These have one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. ¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them. For He is Lord of lords and King of kings. And those with Him are the called and elect and faithful ones.

¹⁹ And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth and their armies, being gathered to make war against Him who sat on the horse, and against His army.
