⁷ If you are righteous, what do you give Him? Or what does He receive from your hand?

¹⁴ But who am I, and who my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things are from You, and we have given to You that which is Yours.

² Can a man be useful to God, as he who is wise may be useful to himself? ³ Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous, or gain to Him that you make your ways perfect?

² Oh my soul, you have said to Jehovah, You are my Lord; I have no goodness apart from You.

¹² If you are wise, you shall be wise for yourself; but if you scorn, you alone shall bear it.

¹⁰ So likewise you, when you shall have done all the things commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants, for we have done what we ought to do.
