²¹ But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed Jehovah's anointed? ²² And David said, What do I have to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be my foes today? Shall there be any man put to death today in Israel? For do I not know that I am king over Israel today?

²² Why do you, like God, persecute me and are not satisfied with my flesh?

⁷ You have not given water to the weary to drink, and you have held back bread from the hungry.

² When the wicked, my enemies and my foes, came on me to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

²⁵ Let them not say in their hearts, Aha! Our Soul! Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
