²² Please receive the Law from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart.

¹ And now, Israel, listen to the statutes and to the judgments which I teach you, in order to do them, so that you may live and go in and possess the land which Jehovah, the God of your fathers gives you. ² You shall not add to the Word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, so that you may keep the commands of Jehovah your God which I command you.

⁶ And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart. ⁷ And you shall carefully teach them to your sons, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. ⁸ And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. ⁹ And you shall write them upon the posts of your house, and on your gates.

¹² nor have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I treasured the words of His mouth more than my portion.

¹¹ I have hidden Your Word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.

¹ My son, if you will receive my words and hide my commandments with you, ² so that you attend to wisdom, you shall extend your heart to understanding; ³ yea, if you cry after knowledge and lift up your voice for understanding; ⁴ if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures, ⁵ then you shall understand the fear of Jehovah and find the knowledge of God. ⁶ For Jehovah gives wisdom; out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. ⁷ He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly. ⁸ He keeps the paths of judgment, and guards the way of His saints. ⁹ Then you shall understand righteousness and judgment and honesty, every good path.

⁴ He also taught me, and said to me, Let your heart hold fast my words, keep my commandments and live.

²¹ Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart.

¹⁶ Your Words were found, and I ate them; and Your Word was to me the joy and gladness of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Jehovah, the God of Hosts.

³⁵ A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings out good things; and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings out evil things.

⁵² Then He said to them, Therefore every scribe who is instructed to the kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out things new and old out of his treasure.

¹ For the rest, then, my brothers, we beseech you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as you have received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more. ² For we know what commands we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
