¹¹ Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who are surrounded with sparks; walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks which you have kindled. This you shall have of My hand; you shall lie down in sorrow.

⁹ And Jehovah said to Moses, Pharaoh shall not listen to you, so that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt. ¹⁰ And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh. And Jehovah hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would not let the sons of Israel go out of his land.

⁴ Their sorrows shall be multiplied who run after another god. I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood; and I will not take their names on my lips.

⁷ Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of Jehovah our God. ⁸ They have bowed down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright.

¹⁰ The wicked has many sorrows, but mercy embraces him who trusts in Jehovah.

¹⁸ or like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death.

²² And they shall look to the land; and behold, trouble and darkness and gloom of anguish! And they are driven away into darkness.

¹⁵ Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and we have made a vision with hell; when the overwhelming rod shall pass through, it shall not come to us; for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves under falsehood, ¹⁶ therefore so says the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I place in Zion a Stone for a foundation, a tried Stone, a precious Cornerstone, a sure Foundation; he who believes shall not hurry. ¹⁷ Also I will lay judgment to the line, and righteousness to the plummet; and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. ¹⁸ And your covenant with death shall be wiped out, and your vision with hell shall not stand; when the overwhelming rod shall pass through, then you shall be beaten down by it. ¹⁹ From the time that it goes out it shall take you; for morning by morning it shall pass over, by day and by night; and it shall be only a terror to understand the message. ²⁰ For the bed is shorter than one can stretch himself on, and the cover is narrower than one can wrap himself in.

¹⁵ For so says the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest you shall be saved; and in quietness and hope shall be your strength. And you were not willing. ¹⁶ But you said, No; for we will flee on a horse. Therefore you shall flee. And you said, We will ride on the swift; therefore those who pursue you shall be swift.

² Why do you weigh silver for what is not bread? and your labor for what never satisfies? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

¹³ So the Lord Jehovah says, Behold, My servants will eat, but you will be hungry. Behold, My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. Behold, My servants will rejoice, but you will be ashamed. ¹⁴ Behold, My servants will sing for joy of heart, but you will cry for sorrow of heart, and will howl because of a breaking of spirit. ¹⁵ And you will leave your name for a curse to My elect; for the Lord Jehovah will kill you, and call His servants by another name. ¹⁶ He who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth. And he who swears in the earth will swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from My eyes.

⁵ So says Jehovah, Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Jehovah. ⁶ For he shall be like a juniper in the desert, and shall not see when good comes. But he shall live in the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land that is not inhabited. ⁷ Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah, and Jehovah is his trust.

³⁹ And you, O house of Israel, so says the Lord Jehovah: Every man go and serve his idols, and do so from now on if you will not listen to Me. But never again defile My holy name with your gifts and with your idols.

⁴ Come to Bethel and transgress; to Gilgal and multiply transgressing at Gilgal. And bring your sacrifices for the morning, your tithes for three years; ⁵ and offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving from that which is leavened, and cry out; call out the voluntary offerings! For so you love to do, O sons of Israel, says the Lord Jehovah.

⁸ They who take heed to lying vanities forsake their kindness;

¹² But the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

⁶ and in no way he honors his father or his mother. And you voided the commandment of God by your tradition. ⁷ Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, ⁸ "This people draws near to Me with their mouth, and honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.

¹³ Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

²⁴ Therefore I said to you that you shall die in your sins, for if you do not believe that I AM, you shall die in your sins.

³⁹ And Jesus said, I have come into this world for judgment, that they who do not see might see, and that they who see might be made blind.

²¹ Because, knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, neither were thankful. But they became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. ²² Professing to be wise, they became fools

³ For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.

⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁹ who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

⁶ And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So the tongue is set among our members, spotting all the body and inflaming the course of nature, and being inflamed by hell.

²⁰ And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet doing signs before it, (by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast), and those who had worshiped his image. The two were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire burning with brimstone.

¹⁵ And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.
