²⁶ And He said, Let Me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let You go except You bless me.

¹⁰ And now leave Me alone, so that My wrath may become hot against them and so that I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.

¹⁴ Let Me alone, so that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under the heavens. And I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.

¹⁰ And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that You would bless me indeed, and make my border larger, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, so that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he asked.

⁶ The earth shall yield its increase; and God, our own God, shall bless us. ⁷ God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

¹² Jehovah has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. ¹³ He will bless those who fear Jehovah, both small and great.

⁴ But a little while after I passed from them, I found Him whom my soul loves. I held Him and would not let Him go, until I had brought Him into my mother's house, and into the room of her who conceived me.

⁵ Your head on you is like Carmel, and the hair of your head like purple cloth; the King is held captive in its tresses.

¹¹ So says Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, and the One who formed him, Do you ask Me of things to come? Do you give command to Me about My sons, and about the work of My hands?

⁷ And there is no one who calls on Your name, who stirs up himself to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your face from us, and have melted us away because of our iniquities.

⁴ Yes, he wept and cried to Him, and he had power over the Angel and overcame. He found him in Bethel, and there He spoke with us,

¹ And He also spoke a parable to them to teach it is always right to pray, and not to faint, ² saying, A certain judge was in a certain city, not fearing God, nor respecting man. ³ And a widow was in that city. And she came to Him, saying, Avenge me of my adversary. ⁴ And he would not do so for a time. But afterward he said within himself, Though I do not fear God nor regard man, ⁵ yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, that she not wear me down in the end. ⁶ And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says. ⁷ And shall not God avenge His own elect who cry day and night to Him, though He has been long-suffering over them?

²⁸ And they drew near the village where they were going. And He appeared to be going further. ²⁹ But they constrained Him, saying, Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is far spent. And He went in to stay with them.

³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.

⁵⁸ So that, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.

⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord three times, that it might depart from me. ⁹ And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me.

⁷ For Jesus, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong cryings and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared,
