⁴² And I came this day to the well, and said, O Jehovah, the God of my master Abraham, if now You prosper my way in which I go,

¹² And he said, O Jehovah, the God of my master Abraham, I pray You, send me good speed this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham. ¹³ Behold, I stand by the well of water. And the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water. ¹⁴ And let it be that the young woman to whom I shall say, Let down your pitcher, please, so that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give your camels drink also. Let her be the one that You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by it I shall know that You have shown kindness to my master.

³¹ And he said, Come in, blessed of Jehovah. Why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.

³ And his master saw that Jehovah was with him, and that Jehovah made all he did to prosper in his hand.

²¹ Then I called a fast there at the river Ahava, so that we might humble ourselves before our God, in order to seek from Him a right way for us and for our little ones, and for all our goods.

¹¹ O Jehovah, I pray You, let now Your ear be open to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name. And I pray You, bless Your servant today, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. (For I was the king's cupbearer.)

⁵ Roll your way on Jehovah; trust also in Him, and He will work.
