² Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and drop a word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel.

² My doctrine shall drop as the rain; my speech shall drop down as the dew, as the small rain on the tender plant, and as the showers on the grass;

¹¹ And the priests and the prophets spoke to the rulers and to all the people, saying, Let a death sentence be for this man, for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears. ¹² Then Jeremiah spoke to all the rulers and to all the people, saying, Jehovah sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.

³ And take an iron griddle to yourself, and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city. And set your face against it, and it shall be under attack. And you shall set a battle against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

⁷ And you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and your arm shall be uncovered, and you shall prophesy against it.

⁴⁶ Son of man, set your face toward the south, and drop a word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field.

¹⁶ Now then hear the Word of Jehovah. You say, Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not drop words against the house of Isaac.

⁶ Do not drop words as they drop! They shall not drop words about these; they shall not draw back reproaches.

¹¹ If a man walks with wind and lies falsely, saying, I will drop words to you for wine and for strong drink, he shall even be a dropper of words for this people.

¹³ And they set up false witnesses, who said, This man does not cease speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the Law. ¹⁴ For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered to us.

¹⁹ And pray for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,
