¹ And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah that is opposite Jericho. And Jehovah showed him all the land of Gilead, to Dan,

¹⁴ And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he led forth his trained servants, born in his own house (three hundred and eighteen) and pursued them to Dan.

²⁰ and from Bamoth in the valley, in the country of Moab, they worked to the top of Pisgah, which looks toward the wilderness.

¹² And Jehovah said to Moses, Get up into this Mount Abarim and see the land which I have given to the sons of Israel.

³³ And Moses gave to them, to the sons of Gad and to the sons of Reuben, and to the half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land with its cities in the borders, the cities of the land all around. ³⁴ And the sons of Gad built Dibon and Ataroth and Aroer, ³⁵ and Atroth, Shophan, and Jaazer, and Jogbehah, ³⁶ and Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran, fortified cities. And they built folds for sheep. ³⁷ And the sons of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjath-aim, ³⁸ and Nebo, and Baal-meon (their names being changed) and Sibmah, and they gave other names to the cities which they built. ³⁹ And the sons of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and took it, and put out the Amorite who was in it. ⁴⁰ And Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he lived in it.

⁴⁷ And they pulled up stakes from Almon-diblathaim and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

²⁷ Go up into the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes westward and northward and southward and eastward, and behold it with your eyes. For you shall not go over this Jordan.

⁴⁹ Go up into Mount Abarim, to Mount Nebo in the land of Moab, which is opposite Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan which I am giving to the sons of Israel for a possession.

⁵² Yet you shall see the land before you, but you shall not go there to the land which I am giving to the sons of Israel.

⁴ And Jehovah said to him, This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, I will give it to your seed. I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.

⁴⁷ And the border of the sons of Dan came out too little for them. And the sons of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and lived in it. And they called Leshem Dan, after the name of their father Dan.

²⁹ And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel. However the name of the city was Laish at the first.

² In the visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel, and made me rest on a very high mountain. And it went up, as the structure of the city on the south.

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from God,
