⁹ Remember what Jehovah your God did to Miriam by the wayside, after you had come forth out of Egypt.

² Command the sons of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper and everyone that has an issue, and whoever is defiled by a dead body.

¹⁰ And the cloud moved from the tabernacle. And behold! Miriam became leprous, as snow. And Aaron looked on Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. ¹¹ And Aaron said to Moses, Oh, my lord, I beg you, do not lay upon us the sin in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned. ¹² Let her not be like one dead, of whom the flesh is half gone when he comes out of his mother's womb. ¹³ And Moses cried to Jehovah saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech You. ¹⁴ And Jehovah said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received. ¹⁵ And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days. And the people did not pull up stakes until Miriam was brought in.

³ And four men, lepers, were at the gate entrance. And they said to one another, Why do we sit here until we die?

²⁰ And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked on him. And, behold, he was leprous in his forehead! And they thrust him out from there. Yes, he himself hurried to go out also, because Jehovah had stricken him. ²¹ And Uzziah the king was a leper until the day of his death, and lived in a separate house a leper. For he was cut off from the house of Jehovah. And Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.
