²² For Moses truly said to the fathers, "The Lord your God shall raise up a Prophet to you from your brothers, One like me. You shall hear Him in all things, whatever He may say to you.

¹⁵ Jehovah your God will raise up to you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, One like me. To Him you shall listen, ¹⁶ according to all that you desired of Jehovah your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying: Let me not hear again the voice of Jehovah my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, so that I do not die. ¹⁷ And Jehovah said to me, They have spoken well what they have spoken. ¹⁸ I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, one like you, and will put My words in His mouth. And He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him. ¹⁹ And it shall happen, whatever man will not listen to My Words which He shall speak in My name, I will require it of him.

³ Bow down your ear, and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. ⁴ Behold, I have given Him for a witness to the people, a Leader and Commander of peoples.

⁴ And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here. If You will, let us make here three tabernacles; one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. ⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear Him.

⁴ And Elijah with Moses was seen by them, and they were talking with Jesus. ⁵ And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. And let us make three tabernacles, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. ⁶ For he did not know what to say, for they were very much afraid. ⁷ And there was a cloud that overshadowed them. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son. Hear Him.

³⁰ And behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah, ³¹ who appeared in glory and spoke of His exodus, which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. ³² But Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep. But fully awakening, they saw His glory, and the two men who stood with Him. ³³ And in their parting from Him, it happened that Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here. And let us make three tabernacles, one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah; not knowing what he said. ³⁴ And as he was saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them. And they feared as they entered into the cloud. ³⁵ And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, hear Him.

³³ Yet I must walk today and tomorrow and the day following. For it cannot be that a prophet perish outside of Jerusalem.

¹⁹ And He said to them, What things? And they said to Him, The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a man, a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,

¹⁷ For the Law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, He who hears My Word and believes on Him who sent Me has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but has passed from death to life.

³⁹ You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life. And they are the ones witnessing of Me, ⁴⁰ and you will not come to Me that you might have life. ⁴¹ I do not receive honor from men. ⁴² But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. ⁴³ I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me. If another shall come in his own name, him you will receive. ⁴⁴ How can you believe, you who receive honor from one another and do not seek the honor that comes from God only? ⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you, Moses, in whom you trust. ⁴⁶ For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed Me, for he wrote of Me. ⁴⁷ But if you do not believe his writings, how shall you believe My Words?

¹² Then Jesus spoke again to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

⁴⁶ I have come as a Light into the world, so that whoever believes on Me should not remain in darkness.

³⁷ This is that Moses who said to the sons of Israel, "The Lord your God shall raise up a Prophet to you from your brothers, One like me; you shall hear Him."

³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh;

⁵ whose are the fathers, and of whom is the Christ according to flesh, He being God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, coming into being out of a woman, having come under Law,

¹ God, who at many times and in many ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, ² has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds,

¹ Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, that He by the grace of God should taste death for all. ¹⁰ For it became Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons into glory, to perfect the Captain of their salvation through sufferings. ¹¹ For both He who sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of One, for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brothers, ¹² saying, "I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You." ¹³ And again, "I will put My trust in Him." And again, "Behold Me and the children whom God has given Me." ¹⁴ Since then the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise partook of the same; that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death (that is, the Devil), ¹⁵ and deliver those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. ¹⁶ For truly He did not take the nature of angels, but He took hold of the seed of Abraham. ¹⁷ Therefore in all things it behoved him to be made like His brothers, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of His people.

⁹ And being perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all those who obey Him,

¹ A Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to declare to His servants things which must shortly come to pass. And He signified it by sending His angel to His servant John,
