²⁵ to take the share of this ministry and apostleship from which Judas fell, to go to his own place.

¹³ And Saul died for his sin which he committed against Jehovah, against the Word of Jehovah, which he did not keep, and also for seeking of a medium, to inquire, and ¹⁴ inquired not of Jehovah. And He killed him and turned the kingdom to David the son of Jesse.

⁷ when he is judged, let him be condemned; and let his prayer become sin.

⁴¹ Then He also shall say to those on the left hand, Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.

²⁴ The Son of Man goes, as it has been written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.

³ Then he who had betrayed Him, seeing that He was condemned, sorrowing, Judas returned the thirty pieces of silver again to the chief priests and elders, ⁴ saying, I have sinned, betraying innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? You see to that. ⁵ And he threw the pieces of silver down in the temple and departed. And he went and hanged himself.

⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? And one of you is a devil? ⁷¹ But he spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon; for it was he who was about to betray Him, being one of the Twelve.

²⁷ And after the morsel, then Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to him, What you do, do quickly.

¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those that You have given Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

¹⁶ Men, brothers, this Scripture must have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit by the mouth of David spoke before concerning Judas, who became guide to those who seized Jesus. ¹⁷ For he was numbered with us and had obtained part of this ministry. ¹⁸ Indeed, then, this one purchased a field with the reward of unrighteousness. And falling headlong, he burst apart in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out. ¹⁹ And it was known to all the dwellers at Jerusalem, so much so that that field is called in their own dialect, Akeldama, that is to say, Field of Blood. ²⁰ For it is written in the Book of Psalms, "Let his estate become forsaken, and he not be living in it." And, "Let another take his overseership." ²¹ Therefore, it is right that one of these men who have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us,

⁵ by whom we have received grace and apostleship, to obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name;

² If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you, for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

⁸ for He working in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision also worked in me to the nations.

³ And through covetousness they will use you for gain with well-turned words; for whom judgment from of old does not linger, and their destruction does not sleep. ⁴ For if God did not spare sinning angels, but thrust them down into Tartarus, and delivered them into chains of darkness, being reserved to judgment. ⁵ And He did not spare the old world, but saved Noah the eighth one, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. ⁶ And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, He condemned them with an overthrow, setting an example to men intending to live ungodly.

⁶ And those angels not having kept their first place, but having deserted their dwelling-place, He has kept in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of a great Day; ⁷ as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, in like manner to these, committing fornication, and going away after other flesh, laid down an example before-times, undergoing vengeance of everlasting fire.
