¹² Then you shall call on Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. ¹³ And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. ¹⁴ And I will be found by you, says Jehovah; and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says Jehovah. And I will bring you again into the place from where I caused you to be exiled.

²⁷ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of animal. ²⁸ And it shall be, as I have watched over them to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so I will watch over them to build, and to plant, says Jehovah.

³⁹ And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for their good and for the good of their sons after them.

³¹ A runner shall run to meet a runner, and a herald to a herald, to announce to the king of Babylon that his city is captured from end to end;

²¹ Return us to You, O Jehovah, and we will turn; renew our days as of old,

⁶¹ And you shall remember your ways and be ashamed, when you shall receive your sisters, your older and your younger. And I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant. ⁶² And I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall know that I am Jehovah; ⁶³ so that you may remember and be ashamed; and it will not be possible to open your mouth any more because of your shame; in that I am propitiated for all that you have done, says the Lord Jehovah.

³⁰ So I will judge you, O house of Israel, each one of you according to his ways, says the Lord Jehovah. Turn and be made to turn from all your sins; and iniquity shall not be your stumbling-block. ³¹ Cast away from you all your sins by which you have sinned; and make you a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel? ³² For I have no delight in the death of him who dies, says the Lord Jehovah. Therefore turn and live.

¹³ But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes, and they despised My judgments, which if a man does, he shall even live in them. And they greatly profaned My sabbaths. And I said, I will pour out My fury on them in the wilderness to destroy them. ¹⁴ But I worked for My name's sake, so that it should not be profaned before the nations in whose sight I brought them out. ¹⁵ And also I lifted up My hand to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey; it is the glory of all lands; ¹⁶ because they despised My judgments and walked not in My sabbaths; and they profaned My sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols. ¹⁷ But My eye spared them from destroying them, nor did I make an end of them in the wilderness. ¹⁸ But I said to their sons in the wilderness, Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

¹¹ Say to them: As I live, says the Lord Jehovah, I have no delight in the death of the wicked, except in the turning of the wicked from his way, and so to live. Turn, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

²⁶ And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

¹⁰ You, son of man, declare to the house of Israel, the temple house, so that they may be ashamed of their iniquities. And let them measure its size. ¹¹ And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, the form of the house, and its arrangement, and its exits, and its entrances, and all its forms, and all its statutes, and all its forms, and all its laws, make known to them. And write them before their eyes, so that they may observe all its form, and all its statutes, and do them.

¹⁷ And it shall be the ruler's part to give burnt offerings and food offerings and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all appointed feasts of the house of Israel. He shall prepare the sin offering and the food offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.

¹ Nebuchadnezzar the king, to all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you. ² It seemed good before me to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has done with me. ³ How great are His signs! And how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His rule is from generation to generation. ⁴ I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at rest in my house and flourishing in my palace. ⁵ I saw a dream and it terrified me, and the thoughts on my bed and the visions of my head troubled me. ⁶ So I made a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known to me the meaning of the dream. ⁷ Then the horoscopists, the conjurers, the Chaldeans, and the fortune-tellers came in. And I told the dream before them, but they did not make its meaning known to me. ⁸ But at last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. And I told the dream before him, saying, ⁹ O Belteshazzar, master of the horoscopists, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no secret troubles you, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its meaning. ¹⁰ As to the visions of my head on my bed: I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great. ¹¹ The tree grew and was strong, and its height reached to the heavens; and the sight of it reached to the end of all the earth. ¹² Its leaves were beautiful, and its fruit plentiful, and in it was food for all. The animals of the field sought shade under it, and the birds of the heavens lived in its boughs, and all flesh was fed by it. ¹³ I saw in the visions of my head on my bed, and behold, a watcher and a holy one came down from Heaven. ¹⁴ He cried aloud and said this, Cut down the tree, and cut off its branches; shake off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the animals get away from under it, and the birds from its branches. ¹⁵ But leave the stump of its roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and bronze, in the tender grass of the field. And let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let its portion be with the animals in the grass of the earth. ¹⁶ Let his heart be changed from man's, and let the heart of an animal be given to him. And let seven times pass over him. ¹⁷ This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones, so that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will, and sets up over it the lowest of men. ¹⁸ I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen this dream. Now you, O Belteshazzar, declare its meaning, because all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make the meaning known to me. But you are able, for the spirit of the holy gods is in you. ¹⁹ Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stunned for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spoke and said, Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning trouble you. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream is to those who hate you, and its meaning to your foes. ²⁰ The tree that you saw, which became great and strong, whose height reached to the heaven, and the sight of it to all the earth; ²¹ whose leaves were fair, and its fruit plentiful, and in it was food for all, under which the animals of the field dwelt, and on whose branches the birds of the heavens had their home; ²² it is you, O king, for you have become great and strong, for your greatness has grown and reached to the heaven, and your rule to the end of the earth. ²³ And as the king saw a watcher and a holy one coming down from Heaven, and saying, Cut the tree down and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots of it in the earth, even with a band of iron and bronze, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the animals of the field, until seven times pass over him; ²⁴ this is the meaning, O king, and this the decree of the Most High, which has come on my lord the king. ²⁵ They shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. And they shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will. ²⁶ And in that they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; your kingdom shall be sure to you after you have known that Heaven rules. ²⁷ Therefore, O king, let my advice be pleasing to you, and break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor, whether there will be duration to your prosperity. ²⁸ All this came on the King Nebuchadnezzar. ²⁹ At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. ³⁰ The king spoke and said, Is this not great Babylon that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power and for the honor of my majesty? ³¹ While the word was in the king's mouth, a voice fell from Heaven, saying, O King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken. The kingdom has departed from you. ³² And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field. They shall make you eat grass like oxen, and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He will. ³³ The same hour the thing was fulfilled on Nebuchadnezzar. And he was driven from men, and ate grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the heavens, until his hair had grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws.

²² And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this.

⁸ Now, O king, establish the ban and sign the writing, so that it may not be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians which cannot be changed.

¹⁹ O Jehovah, hear; O Jehovah, forgive; O Jehovah, listen and do. Do not delay, for Your own sake, O my God; for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.

¹⁴ Therefore, behold, I will lure her and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably to her.

⁴ Their doings will not allow them to turn to their God; for the spirit of fornication is in their midst, and they have not known Jehovah.

⁸ Ephraim mixed himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned. ⁹ Strangers have eaten up his strength, and he does not know. Yea, gray hairs are here and there on him, yet he knows it not.

⁸ How shall I give you up, Ephraim? How shall I deliver you, Israel? How shall I make you like Admah? How shall I set you as Zeboim? My heart is turned within Me; My compassions are kindled together.

¹ O Israel, return to Jehovah your God, for you have fallen by your iniquity.

¹² Yet even now, says Jehovah, turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. ¹³ Yes, tear your heart and not your robes, and turn to Jehovah your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He pities because of the evil. ¹⁴ Who knows if He will turn and have pity and leave a blessing behind Him, a food offering and a drink offering to Jehovah your God?

² And he prayed to Jehovah and said, Please, O Jehovah, was this not my saying when I was still in my land? On account of this I fled before to Tarshish. For I knew that You are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and One who repents over calamity.

¹⁸ Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not keep His anger forever, because He delights in mercy.

³ And you say to them, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Turn to Me, says Jehovah of Hosts, and I will turn to you, says Jehovah of Hosts. ⁴ Be not as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have proclaimed to them, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Turn now from your evil ways and your evil doings. But they did not hear nor listen to Me, says Jehovah.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve."

⁵³ And they ridiculed, knowing that she was dead.

¹¹ For whoever exalts himself shall be abased, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

¹⁴ And being money-lovers, all the Pharisees also heard all these things. And they derided Him.

¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself shall be abased, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

¹ And the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the Passover, drew near.

⁷ And the day of the Unleavened Bread came, when the passover must be killed.

⁶³ And the men who held Jesus mocked Him, beating Him. ⁶⁴ And blindfolding Him, they struck Him on His face. And they asked Him, saying, Prophesy! Who is it who struck you?

³⁵ And the people stood watching. And also the rulers with them, scoffing, saying, He saved others, let Him save Himself, if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.

²⁶ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there also My servant shall be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

¹ Having spoken these words, Jesus went out with His disciples over the winter stream Kidron, where there was a garden. He and His disciples entered into it.

⁴⁶ And continuing with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they shared food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

¹⁹ But Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it is right before God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.

⁴ And he was gazing at him, and becoming terrified, he said, What is it, lord? And he said to him, Your prayers and your merciful deeds have come up for a memorial before God.

³² And hearing of a resurrection of the dead, some indeed mocked; and others said, We will hear you again concerning this.

³⁴ But certain men joined themselves to him and believed; among whom were Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

¹³ Do not yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but yield yourselves to God, as one alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. ¹⁴ For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under Law, but under grace. ¹⁵ What then? Shall we sin because we are not under Law, but under grace? Let it not be! ¹⁶ Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to him whom you obey; whether it is of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness. ¹⁷ But thanks be to our God that you were the slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. ¹⁸ Then being made free from sin, you became the slaves of righteousness. ¹⁹ I speak in the manner of men because of the weakness of your flesh; for as you have yielded your members as slaves to uncleanness, and to lawless act unto lawless act, even so now yield your members as slaves to righteousness unto holiness.

²² But now, being made free from sin, and having become slaves to God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end everlasting life.

²¹ But to Israel He says, "All day long I have stretched forth My hands to a disobeying and gainsaying people."

⁷ Therefore purge out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For also Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. ⁸ Therefore let us keep the feast; not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

² But I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and you keep the doctrines as I delivered them to you.

²⁸ But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup.

⁶ For it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine;" who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁸ Therefore He says, "When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts to men."

¹³ For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

⁸ But no, rather, I also count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them to be dung, so that I may win Christ

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, Rejoice!

²² Slaves, obey your masters according to the flesh in all things; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God. ²³ And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men; ²⁴ knowing that from the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance. For you serve the Lord Christ.

² For we know what commands we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brothers beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth, ¹⁴ to which He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

² preach the Word, be instant in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.

²⁸ Through faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest He who destroyed the first-born should touch them.

³⁶ And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings; yes, more, of bonds and imprisonments.

⁸ Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners; and purify your hearts, double-minded ones.

¹⁰ Be humbled before the Lord, and He will lift you up.

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will cure the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him. ¹⁶ Confess faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous one avails much.

⁶ Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time,

¹⁶ If anyone sees his brother sin a sin not to death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for those that do not sin to death. There is a sin to death, I do not say that he shall pray for it.

¹⁵ Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve Him day and night in His temple. And He sitting on the throne will dwell among them.
