²² And now behold, Jehovah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these your prophets, and Jehovah has spoken evil against you.

²¹ And Jehovah said to Moses, When you go to return into Egypt, see that you do all those wonders which I have put in your hand before Pharaoh; but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

⁷ And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah. But I hate him, for he never prophesied good to me, but always evil. The same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

¹⁷ And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?

¹⁸ And Jehoash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son for a wife. And a beast of the field in Lebanon passed by and trampled the thistle down.

¹⁶ With Him is strength and sound wisdom; the deceived and the deceiver are His.

¹¹ Woe to the wicked! For the evil doing of his hand will be done to him.

¹⁴ Jehovah has mixed a perverse spirit in its midst; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in all its work, like a drunkard staggers in his vomit.

¹¹ Now then please, speak to the men of Judah, and to the people of Jerusalem, saying, So says Jehovah: Behold, I am forming evil against you, and devising a plan against you. Return now, each one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.

³ Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their face. Should I at all be inquired of by them? ⁴ Therefore speak to them, and say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet; I Jehovah will answer him in it by the host of his idols; ⁵ so that I may capture the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are estranged from Me by their idols, all of them.

⁹ And the prophet, if he is deceived, and he speaks a word, I Jehovah have deceived that prophet. And I will stretch out My hand on him and will destroy him in the midst of My people Israel.

³ So Jehovah says this: Behold, against this family I am plotting an evil from which you shall not remove your necks; nor shall you go proudly, but it is an evil time.

²⁴ For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders; so much so that, if it were possible, they would deceive even the elect. ²⁵ Behold, I have told you beforehand.

²⁴ The Son of Man goes, as it has been written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born. ²⁵ And answering, the one betraying Him, Judas, said, Master, Not am I the one? He said to him, You said it.

²⁰ And answering He said to them, It is one of the Twelve, the one dipping with Me in the dish. ²¹ The Son of Man indeed goes, as it has been written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It were good for that man if he had never been born.

¹¹ Why? Because I do not love you? God knows. ¹² But what I do, that I will do, so that I may cut off occasion from those who desire occasion; so that in the thing in which they boast, they may be found even as we. ¹³ For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

⁹ whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,

¹ But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons, ² speaking lies in hypocrisy, being seared in their own conscience,
