⁸ So affectionately longing for you, we were willing to have imparted to you, not only the gospel of God, but also our own souls, because you have become beloved to us.

¹⁵ Hear and give ear; do not be proud; for Jehovah has spoken. ¹⁶ Give glory to Jehovah your God, before He causes darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and, while you look for light, He turns it into the shadow of death, setting up deep gloom. ¹⁷ But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride. And my eye shall weep sore and run down with tears, because Jehovah's flock was captured.

² And a certain servant of a centurion who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die.

²³ except that the Holy Spirit witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me. ²⁴ But none of these things move me, neither do I count my life dear to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus Christ, to testify fully the gospel of the grace of God.

¹¹ For I long to see you, so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to you for the establishing of you. ¹² And this is to be comforted together with you by our mutual faith, both yours and mine.

¹ I tell the truth in Christ, I do not lie, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, ² that I have great heaviness and continual pain in my heart. ³ For I myself was wishing to be accursed from Christ for my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh,

¹ Brothers, truly my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is for it to be saved.

²⁹ And I am sure that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

¹ But working together, we also call on you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

¹¹ O Corinthians, our mouth is opened to you, our heart has been enlarged. ¹² You are not restrained in us, but you are restrained in your own affections. ¹³ But for the same reward, (I speak as to children), you also be enlarged.

¹⁵ And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls, even if loving you more and more, I am loved the less.

¹⁹ My children, for whom I again travail until Christ should be formed in you,

⁸ For God is my witness how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy and rejoice with you all.

²⁰ For I have no one who is like-minded, who will naturally care for your state.

²⁵ Yet I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow-worker, and fellow-soldier, but your messenger and he who ministered to my wants. ²⁶ For he longed after you all and was full of heaviness, because you had heard that he had been sick.

¹ Therefore, my brothers, ones loved and longed for, my joy and crown, stand fast in this way in the Lord, beloved ones.

⁷ even as you learned from Epaphras our beloved fellow-servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ for you,

²⁸ whom we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

¹² Epaphras greets you, he being of you, a servant of Christ, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

¹ Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon the beloved and fellow laborer,

¹⁷ Yield to those leading you, and be submissive, for they watch for your souls, as those who must give account, that they may do it with joy and not with grief; for that is unprofitable for you.

¹⁶ By this we have known the love of God, because He laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
