¹⁹ Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing, as to a faithful Creator.

⁷ everyone who is called by My name; for I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

²¹ This people that I formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise.

¹² I, I, am He who comforts you. Who are you, that you should fear a man. He shall die, or from the son of man? He shall be made as grass? ¹³ And you forget Jehovah your Maker, who has stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. And you dread continually, every day, because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy. And where is the fury of the oppressor?

¹⁶ Behold, I have created the smith who blows the coals in the fire, and who brings out a tool for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. ¹⁷ No weapon that is formed against you shall be blessed; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness is from Me, says Jehovah.

¹¹ And the priests and the prophets spoke to the rulers and to all the people, saying, Let a death sentence be for this man, for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears. ¹² Then Jeremiah spoke to all the rulers and to all the people, saying, Jehovah sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard. ¹³ So now make your ways and your doings good, and obey the voice of Jehovah your God. And Jehovah will repent of the evil that He has spoken against you. ¹⁴ As for me, behold, I am in your hand. Do with me as seems good and right to you. ¹⁵ But know for certain that if you put me to death you shall surely bring innocent blood on yourselves, and on this city, and on its people. For truly Jehovah has sent me to you to speak all these Words in your ears.

¹⁶ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to return a word to you on this matter. ¹⁷ If it is so that our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, then He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. ¹⁸ But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods nor worship the golden image which you have set up.

¹⁰ And when he had learned that the document was signed, Daniel went to his house. And his windows were open in his roof room toward Jerusalem; and he kneeled on his knees three times a day and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before. ¹¹ Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and confessing before his God.

⁴⁶ And crying with a loud voice, Jesus said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit. And when He had said this, He breathed out the spirit.

⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen, who was calling on God and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

⁷ indeed to those who with patience in good work are seeking for glory, and honor, and incorruptibility, everlasting life.

¹⁶ For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created through Him and for Him. ¹⁷ And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. ¹⁸ And He is the Head of the body, the church, who is the Beginning, the First-born from the dead, that He may be pre-eminent in all things. ¹⁹ For it pleased the Father that in Him all fullness should dwell. ²⁰ And through Him having made peace through the blood of His cross, it pleased the Father to reconcile all things to Himself through Him, whether the things on earth or the things in Heaven.

¹² For this cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard My deposit unto that Day.

² has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds, ³ who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, through Himself cleansing of our sins, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high,

¹⁵ For such is the will of God, doing good to silence the ignorance of foolish men;

¹⁷ For it is better, if the will of God wills it, to suffer for well-doing than for evil-doing.

¹² Beloved, do not be astonished at the fiery trial which is to try you, as though a strange thing happened to you, ¹³ but rejoice according as you are partakers of Christ's suffering, so that when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. ¹⁴ If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you. Truly according to them, He is blasphemed, but according to you He is glorified. ¹⁵ But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evildoer, or a meddler in the affairs of others. ¹⁶ But if one suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God because of this.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fell down before the One sitting on the throne. And they worshiped Him who lives for ever and ever, and threw their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ O Lord, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, because You created all things, and for Your will they are and were created.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for You were slain and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation. ¹⁰ And You made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign over the earth. ¹¹ And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and the living creatures and the elders. And the number of them was myriads and myriads, and thousands of thousands, ¹² saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing. ¹³ And I heard every creature which is in the Heaven and on the earth, and under the earth, and those that are in the sea, and all who are in them, saying, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever. ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped the One living forever and ever.
