⁵ then I will establish the throne of your kingdom on Israel forever, as I promised to David your father, saying, There shall not be cut off to you a man on the throne of Israel.

¹² And when your days are fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who shall come out of your bowels. And I will make his kingdom sure.

¹⁶ And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.

⁴ that Jehovah may continue His Word which He spoke concerning me, saying, If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul saying, there shall not be a man of yours cut off from the throne of Israel.

¹² As to this house which you are building, if you will walk in My statutes and do My judgments and keep all My commandments, to walk in them, then I will perform My work with you which I spoke to David your father.

¹⁵ And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, who spoke with His mouth to David my father, and has fulfilled it by His hand, saying,

²⁰ And Jehovah has performed His Word which He spoke, and I have risen up instead of my father David. And I sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah promised. And I have built a house for the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel.

⁹ Behold, a son shall be born to you who shall be a man of rest. And I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. For his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. ¹⁰ He shall build a house for My name. And he shall be My son, and I will be his Father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.

²⁸ I will keep My mercy for him forever, and My covenant shall stand fast with him. ²⁹ Also I have set his seed forever, and his throne as the days of the heavens. ³⁰ If his children forsake My Law, and do not walk in My judgments; ³¹ if they profane My Precepts, and do not keep My Commandments; ³² then I will visit their wickedness with the rod, and their sin with stripes. ³³ But I will not completely take My loving-kindness from him, and I will not be false in My faithfulness. ³⁴ I will not break My covenant, nor change the thing that has gone out of My lips. ³⁵ Once I have sworn by My holiness that I will not lie to David. ³⁶ His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. ³⁷ It shall be established forever like the moon, and like a faithful witness in the heavens. Selah. ³⁸ But You have cast off and rejected us; You have been angry with Your anointed. ³⁹ You have turned away from the covenant of Your servant; You have defiled his crown to the ground.

¹¹ Jehovah has sworn to David in truth; He will not turn from it; Of the fruit of your body I will set on the throne for you. ¹² If your sons will keep My covenant and My testimonies which I shall teach them, their sons shall also sit on your throne forever.
