²⁷ But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heavens and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this house which I have built?

¹⁴ Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to Jehovah your God, the earth also, with all in it.

⁶ But who is able to build Him a house, since the heavens and heaven of the heavens cannot contain Him? Who am I then, that I should build Him a house, except only to burn sacrifice before Him?

¹⁸ But truly will God in deed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, Heavens and heaven of the heavens cannot contain You! How much less this house which I have built?

⁴ Jehovah is high above all nations, and His glory above the heavens.

⁷ Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence? ⁸ If I go up into Heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. ⁹ If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the furthest parts of the sea; ¹⁰ even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. ¹¹ If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me, even the night shall be light around me. ¹² Yea, the darkness does not hide from You; but the night shines as the day; as is the darkness, so is the light to You. ¹³ For You have possessed my inward parts; You have covered me in my mother's womb. ¹⁴ I will praise You; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are marvelous and my soul knows it very well. ¹⁵ My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret and skillfully formed in the lowest parts of the earth. ¹⁶ Your eyes saw my embryo; and in Your book all my members were written, the days they were formed, and not one was among them.

¹ So says Jehovah, Heaven is My throne, and earth My footstool. Where, then, is the house that you build for Me? And where is the place of My rest?

²⁴ Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? says Jehovah. Do I not fill the heavens and earth? says Jehovah.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

⁴⁸ But, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says, ⁴⁹ "Heaven is My throne and earth is My footstool. What house will you build Me, says the Lord, or what is the place of My rest?

²⁴ The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of Heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands,

¹⁶ And what agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God has said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

² I know a man in Christ fourteen years before (whether in the body, I do not know; or outside of the body, I do not know; God knows) such a one was caught up to the third Heaven.

¹ Behold what manner of love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God. Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
