⁵⁴ Jesus therefore did not walk openly among the Jews, but went away thence to a place which is close to the wilderness, in the province of Ephraim; and he remained there with his disciples.

¹ WHEN Jesus knew that the Pharisees had heard he made many disciples, and was baptizing more people than John, ² Though Jesus himself did not baptize, but his disciples; ³ He left Judaea and came again to Galilee.

¹ AFTER these things Jesus travelled in Galilee; for he did not wish to travel in Judaea, because the Jews wanted to kill him.

⁴ For there is no man, who does anything in secret and yet wants it to become known. If you are doing these things, show yourself to the people.

¹⁰ But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not openly, but as it were in secret.
