⁵ A wise son is saved from heat: but a lawless son is blighted of the winds in harvest.

⁶ Go to the ant, O sluggard; and see, and emulate his ways, and become wiser than he.

⁸ he prepares food for himself in the summer, and lays by abundant store in harvest. Or go to the bee, and learn how diligent she is, and how earnestly she is engaged in her work; whose labors kings and private men use for health, and she is desired and respected by all: though weak in body, she is advanced by honouring wisdom.

⁴ A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband; but as a worm in wood, so a bad woman destroys her husband.

² A wise servant shall have rule over foolish masters, and shall divide portions among brethren.

²⁶ He that dishonors his father, and drives away his mother, shall be disgraced and shall be exposed to reproach.

²⁵ the ants which are weak, and [yet] prepare [their] food in summer;

⁶ Seek you⌃ the Lord, and when you⌃ find him, call upon him; and when he shall draw near to you, ⁷ let the ungodly leave his ways, and the transgressor his counsels: and let him return to the Lord, and he shall find mercy; for he shall abundantly pardon your sins.
