¹³ And Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward: and Samuel arose, and departed to Armathaim.

⁹ And it came to pass when he turned his back to depart from Samuel, God gave him another heart; and all these signs came to pass in that day. ¹⁰ And he comes thence to the hill, and behold a band of prophets opposite to him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied in the midst of them.

⁶ And the Spirit of the Lord came upon Saul when he heard these words, and his anger was greatly kindled against them.

¹ And there shall come forth a rod out of the root of Jesse, and a blossom shall come up from [his] root: ² and the Spirit of God shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and godliness shall fill him; ³ the spirit of the fear of God.
