¹³ For Your mercy toward me is great; and You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.

¹⁸ He holds back his soul from the Pit, and his life from passing by the sword.

²² Yea, his soul draws near to the Pit, and his life to the dealers of death.

²⁴ then let Him be gracious to him and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom!

²⁸ He has redeemed my soul from passing over into the Pit, and my life shall see the light.

¹⁰ For You will not leave My soul in Sheol; You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption.

³ O Jehovah, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, from going down into the Pit.

¹³ For You have delivered my soul from death. Do You not keep my feet from falling, so that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

¹⁰ For Your mercy is great to the heavens, and Your truth to the clouds.

⁶ You have laid me in the lowest pit, in dark places; in the deeps.

⁸ Jehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and of much mercy. ⁹ He will not always chasten, nor will He keep His anger forever. ¹⁰ He has not done to us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. ¹¹ For as the heavens are above the earth, so is His mercy mighty over those who fear Him. ¹² As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

⁴ For Your mercy is great above the heavens; and Your truth reaches to the clouds.

⁸ For You have delivered my soul from death, my eye from tears, my feet from stumbling.

¹⁷ Behold, for peace was bitter to me, most bitter; but You loved my soul from the pit of destruction; You have cast all my sins behind Your back.

³ For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the current surrounded me; all Your breakers and Your waves passed over me. ⁴ And I said, I am cast off from Your eyes; yet I will again look to Your holy temple. ⁵ Waters encompassed me, even to my soul; the depth closed around me; seaweed was clinging to my head. ⁶ I went down to the bases of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me forever. But You brought up my life from the pit, O Jehovah my God.

⁵⁸ And the neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord magnified His mercy with her, and they rejoiced with her.

¹⁰ and to await His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, the One delivering us from the wrath to come.
