¹⁰ The God of my mercy shall meet me; God shall let me see my desire on my enemies.

¹⁰ And David said, As Jehovah lives, except Jehovah strike him, or his day shall come and he dies, or he goes down and is devoured in battle,

¹¹ And David took hold on his garments and tore them; and also all the men with him did so. ¹² And they mourned and wept and fasted until the evening, for Saul, and for his son Jonathan, and for the people of Jehovah, and for the house of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword.

¹⁷ And David sang this death-dirge over Saul, and over his son Jonathan;

⁸ Lead me in Your righteousness, because of my enemies; make straight Your way before me.

³ For You will precede him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold on his head.

⁵ He shall reward evil to my enemies; cut them off in Your truth.

⁷ For He has delivered me out of all trouble; and my eye has seen its desire on my enemies.

² My watchers panted for me all the day; for many are proudly fighting against me.

⁶ They stir up strife; they hide; they observe my footprints as they wait for my soul.

¹⁷ To You, O my strength, I will sing; for God is my strong tower, the God of my mercy.

⁸ Oh do not remember for us the sins of our first ones; let Your tender mercies meet us speedily, for we have been brought very low.

⁸ Only with your eyes you shall look, and see the reward of the wicked.

¹¹ And my eye shall look on my enemies; my ears shall hear the evildoers who rise up against me.

⁸ His heart is upheld; he shall not be afraid though he looks on his foes.

²⁴ And it will be, before they call, I will answer. While they are speaking, then I will hear.

¹⁶ And I have not hurried away from shepherding after You, nor have I desired the woeful day. You surely know that the utterance of my lips was before Your face.

⁴¹ And as He drew near, seeing the city, He wept over it, ⁴² saying, If you had known, even you, even at least in this day of yours, the things for your peace! But now they were hidden from your eyes. ⁴³ For the days will come on you, and your enemies will raise up a rampart to you and will surround you and will keep you in on every side, ⁴⁴ and will tear you down, and your children in you, and will not leave a stone on a stone, because you did not know the time of your visitation.

² For I testify to them that they have zeal to God, but not according to knowledge. ³ For being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions and God of all comfort,

⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, ⁵ even we being dead in sins, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are being saved),

¹⁵ For we say this to you in the Word of the Lord, that we the living who remain to the coming of the Lord not at all will go before those who have fallen asleep.

¹⁰ Now the God of all grace, the One calling you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, you having suffered a little, He Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, establish you .
