¹³ also withhold Your servant from arrogant sins; do not let them rule over me; then I shall be upright, and shall be innocent from great transgression.

³⁹ And David heard that Nabal had died, and said, Blessed be Jehovah who has contended for the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal; and His servant has been kept back from evil. And Jehovah has caused the evil doing of Nabal to return on his head. And David sent and spoke with Abigail, to take her to himself for a wife.

¹³ And Saul died because of his trespass that he trespassed against Jehovah, against the word of Jehovah that he did not keep, and also for asking of a medium, to inquire; ¹⁴ and did not inquire of Jehovah. Then He killed him, and turned the kingdom to David the son of Jesse.

¹⁰ My defense is on God, who saves the upright of heart.

⁷ For Jehovah is righteous; He loves righteous deeds; the upright look upon His face.

¹³³ Fix my steps in Your word; and let no evil rule over me.

¹⁶ And in this I exercise myself to have always a blameless conscience toward God and men.

For as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness and to lawless act unto lawless act, so now yield your members as slaves to righteousness unto sanctification. ²⁰ For when you were slaves of sin, you were free as to righteousness. ²¹ Therefore what fruit did you have then in the things over which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. ²² But now being set free from sin, and being enslaved to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end everlasting life.

¹⁰ and most of all those going after flesh in the lust of defilement, and despising rulership, darers, self-pleasing; they do not tremble at glories, speaking evil;
