⁶¹ But He was silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest questioned Him, and said to Him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

⁷ I will declare concerning the statute of Jehovah: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.

¹ To the chief musician, to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I said, I will keep my ways from sinning with my tongue; I will keep my mouth with a muzzle while the wicked are before me. ² I became dumb, keeping still; from good I was silent, and my pain was stirred.

⁹ I was dumb; I did not open my mouth, because You had done it .

¹² Blessed are you, O Jehovah; teach me Your statutes.

⁶ For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. ⁷ There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.

⁷ He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, but He did not open His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a ewe before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.

¹⁷ And behold! A voice out of the heaven saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I have found delight. Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1

²⁹ And, behold! They cried out, saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here beforetime to torment us?

³ John said to Him, Are You the One coming, or are we to look for another? ⁴ And answering, Jesus said to them, Going, relate to John what you hear and see: ⁵ The blind receive sight, and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor are given the gospel. Isa. 61:1

⁶³ But Jesus kept silent. And answering, the high priest said to Him, I adjure you by the living God that you tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God. ⁶⁴ Jesus said to him, You said it . ¹² And when He was accused by the chief priests and the elders, He answered nothing. ¹³ Then Pilate said to Him, Do you not hear how many things they testify against you? ¹⁴ And He did not answer him, not even to one word, so that the governor greatly marveled.

⁶¹ But He was silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest questioned Him, and said to Him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? ⁶² And Jesus said, I AM! And you will see the Son of man sitting off the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of the heaven. Psa. 110:1; Dan. 7:13 ⁶³ And tearing his garments, the high priest said, Why do we still have need of witnesses?

² And Pilate questioned Him, Are you the king of the Jews? And answering, He said to him, You say it .

⁴ But Pilate again questioned Him, saying, Do you answer nothing? Behold, how many things they testify against you. ⁵ But Jesus answered nothing any more, so as for Pilate to marvel.

⁶⁷ If you are the Christ, tell us. And He said to them, If I tell you, you will in no way believe. ⁶⁸ And also if I ask, in no way will you answer Me, or let Me go. ⁶⁹ From now on the Son of man will be sitting at the right of the power of God. Psa. 110:1 ⁷⁰ And they all said, Then are you the Son of God? And He said to them, You say it, because I AM! ⁷¹ And they said, Why do we yet have need of witness? For we ourselves heard it from his mouth.

³⁴ And I have seen and have witnessed that this One is the Son of God.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel. ⁵⁰ Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to you I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these. ⁵¹ And He says to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, from now on you will see Heaven opened, and "the angels of God ascending and descending" on the Son of man. Gen. 28:12

¹⁸ Because of this, therefore, the Jews lusted the more to kill Him, for not only did He break the sabbath, but also called God His own Father, making Himself equal to God. ¹⁹ Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son is not able to do anything from Himself, except what He may see the Father doing; for whatever that One does, these things also the Son does the same way. ²⁰ For the Father loves the Son and shows to Him all things which He does. And He will show Him greater works than these in order that you may marvel. ²¹ For even as the Father raises the dead, and gives life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills. ²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him. ²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. ²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live.

²⁴ Then the Jews encircled Him, and said to Him, How long do you lift up our soul? If you are the Christ, tell us publicly.

³⁰ I and the Father are one! ³¹ Then again the Jews took up stones, that they might stone Him.

³⁶ do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, You blaspheme, because I said, I am Son of God?

³⁷ Then Pilate said to Him, Are you really a king? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. For this purpose I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, that I might witness to the Truth. Everyone being of the Truth hears My voice.

⁷ Then the Jews answered him, We have a law, and according to our Law he ought to die because he made himself Son of God!

⁹ And he entered into the praetorium again and said to Jesus, From where are you? But Jesus did not give him an answer.

³² And the content of the Scripture which he was reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to slaughter, and as a lamb voiceless before the one shearing it, so He does not open His mouth.

¹¹ according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I was entrusted.

¹⁵ who in His own time will reveal the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

²³ who, having been reviled, did not revile in return; suffering, He did not threaten, but gave Himself up to Him who was judging righteously;
