²⁰ And it was told to Him, saying Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside wishing to see You.

⁵⁵ Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? ⁵⁶ And are not his sisters all with us? From where then did this one get all these things?

³ Is this one not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joseph and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended in Him.

³ Then His brothers said to Him, Move away from here and go to Judea, that your disciples will also see your works which you do, ⁴ for no one does anything in secret and himself seeks to be in public. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world. ⁵ For His brothers did not believe into Him. ⁶ Then Jesus said to them, My time is not yet here, but your time is always ready.

¹⁴ These all were continuing steadfastly in prayer and in supplication with one mind, with the women, and with Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

⁵ Have we not authority to lead about a sister, a wife, as the rest of the apostles also, and Cephas, and the Lord's brothers do ?

¹⁹ But I saw no other of the apostles except James the brother of the Lord.
