²⁰ and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to the judgment of death, and crucified Him .

¹ And it becoming early morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel together against Jesus, so as to put Him to death. ² And binding Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

²⁰ But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds, that they should ask for Barabbas, and to destroy Jesus.

¹ And immediately in the morning, the chief priests with the elders and scribes and all the sanhedrin forming a council, binding Jesus, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pilate.

⁶⁶ And when day came, the body of elders of the people, the chief priests and scribes, were gathered. And they led Him away into their sanhedrin, saying,

⁸ Then being filled of the Holy Spirit, Peter said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel, ⁹ if we are being examined today on a good work of an infirm man, by what this one has been healed, ¹⁰ let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this name this one stands before you whole.

²⁷ For truly both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations and the peoples of Israel, were gathered together against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed, ²⁸ to do whatever Your hand and Your counsel before-determined to be done.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you seized, hanging Him on a tree. ³¹ This One God has exalted as a Ruler and Savior to His right hand, to give to Israel repentance and remission of sins.

²⁷ For those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their rulers, not having known this One, and the voices of the prophets being read throughout every sabbath, condemning Him, they fulfilled the Scriptures . ²⁸ And finding not one cause of death, they asked Pilate to do away with Him. ²⁹ And when they finished all the things having been written concerning Him, taking Him down from the tree, they laid Him in a tomb.
