²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, eagerly awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to everlasting life.

¹⁴ If a man dies, will he revive? All the days of my warfare I will wait, until my change comes.

²⁵ Jehovah is good to those waiting on Him, to the soul seeking Him. ²⁶ It is good that a man hopes for the salvation of Jehovah, even in silence.

⁴² Watch, then, for you do not know in what hour your Lord comes. ⁴³ But know this, that if the housemaster had known in what watch the thief comes, he would have watched and not have allowed his house to be dug through. ⁴⁴ Because of this, you also be ready, for in that hour you think not, the Son of man comes. ⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and wise servant whom his lord has set over his household, to give to them the food in season? ⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant whom his lord shall find so doing when he comes. ⁴⁷ Truly I say to you, He will set him over all his substance. ⁴⁸ But if that wicked servant says in his heart, My lord delays to come, ⁴⁹ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and to drink with the ones drinking, ⁵⁰ the lord of that slave will come in a day in which he does not expect and in an hour which he does not know, ⁵¹ and will cut him in two, and will appoint his portion with the hypocrites. There will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

³⁶ and you be like men awaiting their Lord when he returns from the feasts, so that he coming and knocking, they will at once open to him. ³⁷ Blessed are those slaves whom the Lord will find watching when he comes. Truly I say to you that he will gird himself and will make them recline, and coming up he will serve them. ³⁸ And if he comes in the second watch, or he comes in the third watch, and finds it so, blessed are those slaves. ³⁹ But know this, that if the house-master had known the hour the thief is coming, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be dug through. ⁴⁰ And you, then, be ready; for in the hour you think not, the Son of man comes.

¹⁷ For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²¹ He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is that one who loves Me; and the one that loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and will reveal Myself to him.

⁹ As the Father loved Me, I also loved you; continue in My love. ¹⁰ If you keep My commandments you will continue in My love, as I have kept My Father's commandments and continue in His love.

²³ who having come, and seeing the grace of God, rejoiced. And he exhorted all with purpose of heart to abide near the Lord.

⁵ And the hope does not put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us;

²¹ that as sin ruled in death, so also grace might rule through righteousness to everlasting life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

⁵ And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

²⁸ so being once offered "to bear the sins of many," Christ shall appear a second time without sin to those expecting Him for salvation. Isa. 53:12

¹² looking for and hastening the coming of the Day of God, through which the heavens having been set afire will be dissolved; and burning, the elements will melt?

¹⁶ By this we have known the love of God, because that One laid down His life for us; and on behalf of the brothers we ought to lay down our lives. ¹⁷ Whoever has the means of life of the world, and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

¹⁶ And we have known and have believed the love which God has in us. God is love, and the one abiding in love abides in God, and God in him.

¹⁰ The one believing in the Son of God has the witness in himself. The one not believing God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the witness which God has witnessed concerning His Son. ¹¹ And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son.

¹⁸ We know that everyone having been born of God does not sin, but the one born of God keeps himself, and the evil does not touch him.

²¹ Little children, guard yourselves from idols. Amen.

²⁴ Now to Him being able to keep you without stumbling, and to set you before His glory without blemish, with unspeakable joy;

¹¹ And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony. And they did not love their soul even until death.
