1 And it happened after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah, Jehovah spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,

Exodus 17:9-13

And when he rested his hand, Amalek conquered. 12 And the hands of Moses became heavy. And they took a stone and put it under him. And he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one from this and one from that side . And his hands were steady until the going of the sun. 13 And Joshua defeated Amalek and his people by the mouth of the sword.

Exodus 24:13

13 And Moses rose up, and Joshua his attendant. And Moses went up to the mountain of God.
