²⁸ But I saw, and there was not a man; and of these, there was not a counselor, that I may ask them, and they could answer a word.

¹³ Who has meted out the Spirit of Jehovah, or a man His counsel taught Him? ¹⁴ With whom did He take counsel, and who trained Him and taught Him in the path of justice; and taught Him knowledge, and made known to Him the way of discernment?

² Who knows why I have come, and no one is here ? I called, and not one answered. Is My hand truly cut short from ransom? Or is there not power in Me to deliver? Behold, at My rebuke I dry up the sea; I make rivers a wilderness; their fish stink because of no water, and die in thirst.

¹⁶ And He saw that there was no man, and He was astonished that there was no intercessor. And His own arm saved for Him; and His righteousness sustained Him.

⁵ And I looked, and no one was helping. And I wondered that no one was upholding. Then My own arm saved for Me, and My fury upheld Me.

¹⁰ The Chaldeans replied before the king and said, There is not a man on the earth who can reveal the king's matter, because not any king, lord, or ruler has asked such a thing from any horoscopist, or conjurer, or Chaldean. ¹¹ And the thing that the king asks is rare. And there is no other who may reveal it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.

⁷ Then the horoscopists, the conjurers, the Chaldeans, and the fortunetellers came in. And I told the dream before them, but they did not make its meaning known to me. ⁸ But at last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. And I told the dream before him, saying,
