⁵ And he lifted up his eyes and saw the women and the children And he said, Who are these with you? And he said, The children with whom God has favored your servant.

³ My God is my rock; I shall take refuge in Him; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge! My Savior, You shall save me from violence.

² Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my Rock; I seek refuge in Him; He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

⁷ How precious is Your mercy, O God! And the sons of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. ⁸ They shall be satisfied from the abundance of Your house; and You make them drink the torrent of Your pleasures.

² I will say to Jehovah: My Refuge and my Fortress, my God; I will trust in Him.

³ Behold! Children are an inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb is His reward.

¹⁷ And I will wait on Jehovah, who hides His face from the house of Jacob; and I will look for Him. ¹⁸ Behold, I and the children whom Jehovah has given to me are for signs and wonders in Israel from Jehovah of Hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.

² Behold, God is my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for my strength and song is Jah Jehovah; yea, He has become my salvation.

⁷ And the Lord Jehovah will help Me. On account of this I was not ashamed. On account of this I set My face like flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. ⁸ My Justifier is near. Who will contend with Me? Let us stand up together; who is master of My judgment? Let him come near to Me. ⁹ Behold, the Lord Jehovah will help Me; who is He who will condemn Me? Behold, like a garment they shall wear out; the moth shall eat them.

¹⁰ But Jehovah pleased to crush Him, to make Him sick, so that If He should put His soul as a guilt offering, He shall see His seed; He shall prolong His days; and the will of Jehovah shall prosper in His hand.

⁴³ He trusted on God. Let Him rescue him now, if He desires him. For he said, I am Son of God.

²⁹ My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck out of My Father's hand.

⁶ I revealed Your name to the men whom You gave to Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me; and they have kept Your Word. ⁷ Now they have known that all things, whatever You gave to Me, are from You. ⁸ For the words which You gave to Me, I have given to them. And they received and truly knew that I came out from beside You, and they believed that You sent Me. ⁹ I pray concerning them; I do not pray concerning the world, but for those whom You gave to Me, for they are Yours. ¹⁰ And all My things are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them. ¹¹ And no longer I am in the world, yet these are in the world; and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, those whom You gave to Me, that they may be one as We are . ¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name; I guarded those whom You gave to Me, and not one of them was lost, except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

¹⁵ For if you should have myriads of teachers in Christ, yet not many fathers; for I fathered you in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
