² And Jacob's anger glowed against Rachel, and he said, Am I in God's place, who has kept back from you the fruit of the womb?

² And Sarai said to Abram, See, now, Jehovah has kept me from bearing; go in now to my slave-girl; perhaps I may be built up from her. And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

¹⁸ For Jehovah had completely closed up every womb of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, the wife of Abraham.

²¹ And Isaac prayed to Jehovah for his wife for she was barren. And Jehovah was entreated for him, and his wife Rebekah conceived.

³¹ And Jehovah saw that Leah was hated. And He opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.

³⁶ And Jacob was angry, and he argued with Laban. And Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my transgression; what my sin that you have hotly pursued me?

¹⁹ And Joseph said to them, Do not fear. For am I in the place of God?

¹⁹ And it happened, as he came near to the camp and saw the calf and dances, the anger of Moses glowed. And he threw the tablets from his hands, and he broke them below the mountain.

¹³ And He will love you, and bless you, and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your land, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your oxen and the wealth of your flock, in the land which He has sworn to your fathers, to give it to you. ¹⁴ You shall be blessed above all people; there shall not be a barren man or a barren woman among you, nor among your livestock.

⁵ And to Hannah he gave one double portion, for he loved Hannah. And Jehovah had shut up her womb.

⁵ They that were full have hired themselves out for bread; and the hungry have ceased, while the barren has borne seven; yea, she who had many sons has languished. ⁶ Jehovah kills, and keeps alive; He brings down and causes to go to Sheol.

⁷ And it happened, when the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his garments and said, Am I God, to kill and to keep alive, that this one is sending to me to recover a man from his leprosy? For consider now, and see for he is coiling himself toward me.

⁹ He causes the barren to live in the house as the joyful mother of sons. Praise Jehovah!

³ Behold! Children are an inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb is His reward.

²² But I say to you, Everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be liable to the Judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raca, shall be liable to the sanhedrin; but whoever says, Fool! shall be liable to be thrown into the fire of Hell.

⁵ And having looked around on them with anger, being greatly grieved over the hardness of their heart, He said to the man, Stretch out your hand! And he stretched out, and his hand was restored sound as the other.

⁴² And she cried out with a loud voice and said, Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb!
