⁹ And you shall gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons; and you shall bind on bonnets for them; and it shall be a never ending statute for them in the priest's office. And you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.

¹ And you shall take to yourself your brother Aaron, and his sons with him, from among the sons of Israel, for him to serve as priest to Me; Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron.

⁴⁰ And you shall make tunics for the sons of Aaron; and you shall make girdles for them; and you shall make turbans for them, for glory and for beauty. ⁴¹ And you shall clothe your brother Aaron with them, and his sons with him; and you shall anoint them, and you shall consecrate them, and you shall sanctify them. And they shall minister as priests to Me.

²⁹ And Moses said, Fill your hand today for Jehovah, since each one has been against his son and against his brother, and in order to give you a blessing today.

¹⁵ And you shall anoint them as you anointed their father. And they shall serve as priests to Me. And their anointing shall be for an everlasting priesthood for their generations.

²² And he brought the second ram, a ram of the consecrations, and Aaron and his sons lay their hands on the head of the ram. ²³ And one killed it, and Moses took of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. ²⁴ And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put of the blood on the tip of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot. And Moses sprinkled the blood on the altar all around, ²⁵ and took the fat, and the fat tail, and all the fat on the inward parts, and the fold above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right leg. ²⁶ And out of the basket of unleavened bread which was before Jehovah, he took one unleavened cake, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and on the right leg; ²⁷ and placed the whole on the hands of Aaron, and on the hands of his sons, and waved them, a wave offering before Jehovah. ²⁸ And Moses took them off their hands and burned them with incense on the altar, on the burnt offering; they are consecrations for soothing fragrance; it is a fire offering to Jehovah.

³³ and you shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation for seven days, until the days of your consecration are fulfilled. For He shall consecrate you seven days;

¹⁰ And you shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood. And the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

¹⁰ Yea, He has brought you near, and all your brothers, the sons of Levi, with you. And will you seek the priesthood also?

³⁵ And fire came forth from Jehovah and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered the incense.

⁴⁰ a memorial to the sons of Israel, so that an alien who is not of the seed of Aaron shall not draw near to offer incense before Jehovah, and shall not be as Korah, and as his company; as Jehovah had spoken by the hand of Moses to him.

⁷ And you, and your sons with you, shall keep your priesthood, in everything that pertains to the altar, and to that inside the veil. And you shall serve; I have given you the priesthood as a service of gift; and the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

¹³ And it shall be to him, and to his seed after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and atone for the sons of Israel.

⁵ For Jehovah your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to serve in the name of Jehovah, he and his sons continually.

⁴ And no one takes the honor to himself, but he being called by God, even as Aaron also. ⁵ So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become a high priest, but He speaking to Him, "You are My Son; today I have begotten You." Psa. 2:7

¹⁰ having been called out by God as a High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek.

¹¹ Truly, then, if perfection was through the Levitical priestly office (for the people had been given Law under it), why yet need for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek and not to be called according to the order of Aaron? ¹² For the priestly office having been changed, of necessity a change of law also occurs. ¹³ For the One of whom these things are said has partaken of another tribe, from which no one has given devotion at the altar. ¹⁴ For it is clear that our Lord has risen out of Judah, as to which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.

²³ And they truly are many priests, being hindered from continuing because of death; ²⁴ but He has the priesthood not to be passed on, because of His continuing forever. ²⁵ From this also He is able to save to perfection those who come to God through Him, ever living to intercede on their behalf. ²⁶ For such a High Priest was fitting for us: holy, harmless, undefiled, and separated from sinners, and having become higher than the heavens; ²⁷ who has no need, as do the high priests, to offer sacrifices day by day, first for His own sins, then for those of the people. For He did this once for all, offering up Himself. ²⁸ For the Law makes men high priests who have infirmity, but the word of the swearing of an oath, after the Law, appoints the Son forever, having been perfected.
